Allium Milennium

This clumping perennial grows 15-20in tall and 10-15in wide. Milennium has thick strappy leaves that smell like onions when crushed. Purple flower heads adorn this plant in mid to late summer. Butterflies and honeybees adore the flowers sweet nectar but deer and rabbits steer clear of this perennial beauty. Grow in full sun to part shade and use in the perennial border or even in patio pots.


Anemone

This perennial blooms fragrant white flowers early in the spring. It works well when used in landscape plantings, mass plantings, or as a naturalizer. Anemone will grow 12in to 18in tall and up to 12in wide depending on the variety. Hardiness zones 3 to 9, dependent on variety.



Armeria (Sea Thrift)

Early spring color is this plants specialty! Grassy like foliage supports the pink lollipop like blooms in April-May. If spent blooms are removed it will extend the blooming time sometimes into June. Armeria grows 6-8in tall and 10-12in wide in full sun to part shade. Use in the perennial border or in containers.



Asiatic & Oriental Lilies

Asiatic and oriental lilies have glossy green foliage and bloom during the early summer months in many different colors orange, red, yellow, pink, and white. They grow best in full sun to part shade and can grow 8in to 4ft tall and 6in to 15in wide depending on the variety. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Asters

Asters bloom in the late summer or early fall in shades of blue, pink, purple, and white. They work well for a burst of bright fall color. Smaller varieties grow up to 10in tall while larger varieties can grow up to 39in tall. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 7.



Astilbe

This perennial has fern like foliage with showy feathery blooms during the summer months. Blooms pink, red, peach, or white and grows best if part shade to full shade. They work well when used in perennial beds, borders, or in containers. Astilbe will grow 18in to 30in tall and up to 24in wide depending on the variety with an upright growth habit. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Astilbe Tricolor

Tricolor astilbe has unique fern like foliage with colors of green, red, and purple. They also have showy white feathery white to pink flowers in mid summer. Plant in full to part shade. They grow 15in to 18in tall and wide and work well when used as mass plantings in the landscape. Hardiness zones 4 to 8.



Autumn Joy Sedum

Autumn Joy Sedum works well when used as a border, in landscape plantings, or in rock gardens. It produces flowers that start off as pale pink and progress to a rusty rose or salmon color over time. They grow 10in to 12in tall and wide and do best when planted in full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 11.



Bee Balm / Mondarda

Monarda is a wonderful low maintenance native addition to any perennial garden, border plantings, or landscape. It is dark green foliage is mildew resistance and aromatic. It produces bright colored blooms in shades or pink to red in mid to late summer. Grows 3ft to 4ft tall and up to 2ft wide in full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Berry Smoothie Coralbells

This coralbell is a clump forming plant that grows 12-18in tall and 12-18in wide in part sun to part shade. The foliage starts out rose pink and will darken with age to purple-pink. Small pink flowers emerge from spikes that are 24-28in tall in early summer. Plant as a mass groundcover or in groups. Works well in rock gardens, borders, open woodland gardens and in containers.



Black Eyed Susan / Rudbeckia

Black Eyed Susans work great when used in borders, perennial gardens, and for cut flowers. Large golden flower with brown centers are produced during the summer and continue through early fall. Grows up to 24in tall and 18in wide depending on the variety. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 3 to 9.



Bleeding Heart

This herbaceous perennial has delicate green foliage with pink or white heart shaped blooms in the early spring. Grows 10in to 24in tall and wide depending on the variety. Plant in filtered sunlight to full shade. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Blue Clips Bellflower

This small perennial packs a big punch. Dark blue flowers cover this 6-8ft tall and wide perennial in the summer. Blue Clips grows best in full sun, well drained but moist soils. This plant works great in rock gardens, the perennial border or as an accent plant in containers.



Blue Eyed Grass

This grass like perennial that is related to iris grows in full sun to partial shade. Bright purple flowers jump up above the foliage in May - June. A great plant for borders and as a mass planting. Height 15-18in, width 15-18in.



Brunnera (False Forget Me Nots)

Brunnera also known as False Forget Me Nots are an under used shade perennial. Green heart shaped foliage with silver tones(in some varieties) support small light blue flowers. This plant grows 12-18in tall and wide in part shade and prefers evenly moist organic soils. Clumps can slowly spread to form a groundcover.



Butterfly Milkweed

This native perennial has bright orange flowers that attract butterflies in droves. Butterfly Milkweed grows 1-2ft tall and 1-1.5ft wide, prefer well drained soils in full sun. Place this outstanding plant in cottage type gardens, perennial borders, in native plantings and as a specimen plant.



Canadian Columbine

Canadian Columbines work well when planted in woodland areas and will grow 12in to 18in tall. Red flowers with yellow centers bloom during the spring. It prefers part shade but will tolerate shade or more sun. Hardiness zones 3 to 8.



Caramel Coralbells

This coralbell looks good enough to eat! Caramel colored foliage with blushes of pink adorn this wonderful clump forming perennial. This plant grows 8-18in tall and 1-2ft wide in part sun to part shade in well drained organic soils. Tiny pink flowers on spikes up to 18in tall appear in late spring, early summer. This is one of the latest blooming coralbells. Plant as a mass groundcover or in groups. Works well in rock gardens, borders, open woodland gardens and in containers.



Citronelle Coralbells

Citronelle is one of the brightest colored coralbells available. The bright yellow green foliage is a standout in the part sun to part shade garden. Citronelle grows 8-18in tall and wide in well drained organic soils. Tiny white flowers appear on spikes 18in tall in late summer. Plant as a mass groundcover or in groups. Works well in rock gardens, borders, open woodland gardens and in containers.



Creme Brulee Coreopsis

An improved version of Moonbeam Coreopsis with better disease resistance. Bright butter yellow, 1in, daisy like flowers appear profusely from June to October. Crème Brulee grows 16-20in tall and 18-24in wide. This vigorous variety works very well in border fronts, sidewalk edgings, wild gardens, cottage gardens and in patio containers. Plant in full sun to part sun in organic well drained soils.



Mixed Orgami Columbines

This herbaceous perennial blooms late spring into early summer. It works well when used in perennial borders, woodland gardens, or in planting beds. The flowers appear in the spring and last through early summer in colors of red, blue, pink, purple, and yellow or a mix. Plant in full sun to part shade. Grows 18in to 24in tall by 15in wide. Hardiness zones 3 to 7.



Columbines Nora Barlow

Nora Barlow Columbines produce a double pink and white flower during the summer months and grow 16in to 24in tall. They work well in woodland gardens, perennials gardens, and landscape plantings. They prefer part shade but will tolerate sun. Hardiness zones 3 to 7.



Coneflowers

Coneflowers are fast growing perennials that grow up to 3ft tall by 2ft wide depending on the variety. They produce flowers during the summer months in many colors such as pink, magenta, orange, and yellow. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 3 to 9, depending on the variety.



Coneflower Purple

Purple coneflowers bloom pinkish-purple flowers with orange cones in the middle during the summer months. They work well when used in native landscapes or in mass plantings. They grow up to 2ft wide and tall. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 3 to 9.

Coralbells

There are many colors and textures available in coralbells now which make them a great plant for perennial gardens, landscape plantings, border plantings, or mass plantings. White, pink, or red flowers during the summer. Full sun or full shade depending on the variety. Coralbells grow up to 8in tall with flower stalks that can be 12in to 18in above the foliage. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Coreopsis Baby Sun

Baby Sun Coreopsis has bright golden yellow blooms with a ring of red in the center. They bloom late spring and continue into the summer. They work well when used in perennial gardens, borders, or containers. Grows up to 15in tall and wide. Hardiness zones 5 to 9.



Coreopsis Zagreb

Zagreb Coreopsis has sunny yellow flowers during the summer months and delicate foliage. They work well when used in perennial gardens or planting beds. Plant in full sun. Grows 18in tall and wide. Hardiness zones 3 to 9.



Cranesbill Geranium

For use in planting beds, borders, rock gardens, and perennial plantings. Flowers bloom during the summer months into the fall in shades of pink, purple, or white. Plant in full sun to part sun. Grows 12in to 24in tall and wide depending on the variety. Hardiness zones 4 to 7.



Shasta Daisy

Daisies work well when used for border plantings, mass plantings, perennial gardens, or landscape beds. They also make great cut flowers. They will flower June through September beautiful white blooms with yellow centers and will grow 12in to 36in tall depending on the variety. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Daylilies

Daylilies bloom during the summer months in a wide variety of sizes and colors reds, oranges, yellows, pinks. Stella de Oro Daylilies work well when used in border planting, planting beds, and perennial plantings. They produce golden yellow flowers repeatedly during the summer months and are a dwarf variety. They will grow 15in tall by 15in wide. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Delphinium

Delphinium works best when used in perennial gardens, borders, or planting beds. It produces flowers during the summer months in shades of blue, purple, or white and will grow 3ft to 6ft tall depending on the variety. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 3 to 7.



Fern Ostrich

Ostrich ferns work well when used in mass plantings, shade gardens, or landscape plantings. Plant in part to full shade. Grows 3ft to 5ft tall and wide. Hardiness zones 3 to 7.



Fern Japanese Painted

Japanese Painted Ferns grow 18in tall and wide are should be planted in part to full shade. The work well is landscape plantings, mass plantings, or in shade gardens. Hardiness zones 4 to 8.



Flaming Carpet Sedum

This unique mix of ground cover type sedums grows 6-8in tall and 12-15in wide. Angelina a gold sedum, Voodo a deep burgundy sedum and Blue Spruce a powder blue sedum are all planted together to create a unique effect which can be used as a border planting or groundcover. These sedums require full sun and well drained soils.



Flamethrower Coneflower

Flamethrower Coneflower has bright orange and yellow petals with a darker orange cone. This coneflower grows 34-40in tall and wide with study stems that do not need staking. It blooms from late spring to late summer sometimes even blooming until frost. This plant works well with grasses and mixed perennial gardens. When the seed heads mature they attract many types of birds including goldfinches.



Foxglove (Digitallis)

This unique mix of ground cover type sedums grows 6-8in tall and 12-15in wide. Angelina a gold sedum, Voodo a deep burgundy sedum and Blue Spruce a powder blue sedum are all planted together to create a unique effect which can be used as a border planting or groundcover. These sedums require full sun and well drained soils.



Frosty Fire Dianthus

This low growing evergreen perennial has double red blooms in the early summer. The foliage is icy blue in color and only grows 3-4in tall and 9in wide. Frosty Fire does best when planted in full to part sun in well drained soils. Use in borders, rock gardens, fairy gardens or containers. Deadhead after blooming and some re-blooming will occur.



Gallardia / Blanket Flower

This herbaceous perennial blooms during the early summer through the fall in shades of yellow, orange, reds, or a mix depending on the variety. Will grow up to 36in tall and 24in wide in full sun. Works well in bed plantings, as a border, or in rock gardens. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Geum

This striking perennial has bright orange flowers from May to July. This wonderful plant grows 6-12in tall and wide, requires full sun to part shade and prefers well drained organic soils. Geum does very well in raised beds and in containers. With its mounding shape it also is great in mixed perennial beds.



Hibiscus Perennial

Perennial Hibiscus flowers during the summer months in shades of pink or red. They work well in perennial gardens or planting beds. They can grow up to 4ft tall and wide. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 10.



Hummelo Stachys (Betony)

This perennial plant is similar in look to salvia but with a thicker spike of flowers and a more rounded lighter colored leaf. Hummelos flower spikes are a pinkish-purple color and put on a big show in the summer. Deadhead this plant to encourage more blooms. Stachys can be planted in perennial borders, cottage gardens and in mass plantings.



Hosta

Hosta are made for the shade and work best when used in shade gardens and border plantings. They come in many unique colors, sizes, textures, and variations. They will produce stalky white or purple flowers in the summer months. Hosta can grow 6in to 36in tall and 6in to 48in wide depending on the variety. There are dwarf and giant varieties. Plant in part to full shade. Hardiness zones 4 to 8.



Hosta Francee

Hosta are made for the shade and work best when used in shade gardens and border plantings. Francee Hosta has solid green ribbed leaves with tiny white margins on the edges. It will produce stalky lavender colored flowers in the summer. Grows up to 15in tall and 18in wide. Hardiness zones 4 to 8.



Hosta Frances Williams

Hosta are made for the shade and work best when used in shade gardens and border plantings. Frances Williams Hosta have blue green leaves edged with a yellow stripe and will grow up to 18in tall and wide. Stalky white flowers in the summer. Plant in part to full shade. Hardiness zones 3 to 8.



Hosta Night Before Christmas

Hosta Patriot

Hosta are made for the shade and work best when used in shade gardens and border plantings. Patriot Hosta have solid green ribbed leaves with 1in white margins on the edges. Produces stalky lavender flowers in the summer and grows 18in tall and 30in wide. Plant in part to full shade. Hardiness zones 4 to 8.



Hosta Royal Standard

Hosta are made for the shade and work best when used in shade gardens and border plantings. Royal Standard Hosta have solid green ribbed leaves and grow up to 24in tall and wide. Produce white flowers in the summer months. Plant in part to full shade. Hardiness zones 3 to 8.



Hosta Whirlwind

Hosta are made for the shade and work best when used in shade gardens and border plantings. Whirlwind Hosta have slightly twisted white, yellow, and dark green leaves. They will grow up to 16in tall and 32in wide. Lavender flowers in the summer. Plant in part to full shade. Hardiness zones 3 to 8.



Ice Plant

The ice plant in an evergreen ground cover that works well in rock gardens or in borders. It flowers in the spring and fall beautiful deep rose to purple blooms. It grows up to 3in tall and has a spread of 12in. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 5 to 9.



Iris

Iris produce flowers of purple, lavender, yellow, or peach during the spring months. They can grow up to 36in tall and 18in wide depending on the variety. Plant in part shade to full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Iris Caesars Brother

Caesars Brother Iris works well when used in clumps or mass plantings, perennial gardens, or in planting beds. They bloom vivid purple flowers in the late spring and can grow up to 36in tall and 18in wide. They may be divided when they get too large. Plant in full sun to shade. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Itoh Peonies (Intersectional Peony)

This new cross of peony is a blend between a Japanese tree peony and the standard peony. These peonies get the best of both worlds. From the standard peonies they get hardiness and toughness, and from the Japanese Tree Peony they get the huge tissue paper like blooms in new more vibrant colors. Itoh Peonies have yellow, orange, copper, pink or true red blooms depending on the variety you choose. They typically grow 3-4ft tall and wide and prefer to be in full sun to partial shade. They can be used almost anywhere there is room for this large perennial/shrub.



Joe Pye Weed

Joe Pye Weed is used in planting beds or perennials gardens and can attract butterflies. It flowers in the late summer to fall pink or purple flowers. Grows up to 3ft tall and 2ft wide. Plant in part to full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Lady in Red Fern

Lady In Red fern grows slightly smaller than the regular lady fern reaching 18-30in tall and wide. This fern features lacy light green fronds with contrasting burgundy-red stripes. This fern works well with hostas, astilbe, coralbells, and other part shade to shade loving plants. Lady In Red fern will tolerate deep shade and can be planted in places where other plants will not grow.



Lambs Ear

The furry green evergreen leaves on this plant give it a unique look that can be used for edging or borders of beds. Grows up to 15in tall and wide. Plant in part to full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 8.



Lanium

Lanium is most often used in border of beds or as groundcover. It produces pink flowers from spring to mid summer and will grow up to 12in tall and can spread up to 18in wide. Plant in part shade to full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 10.



Lenten Rose / Helleborus

Lenten Roses work well when planted in woodland or shade gardens. It blooms in the late winter or early spring in colors such as pink, white, green, or mottled flowers depending on the variety. They will grow up to 24in tall and wide. Plant in part sun to full shade. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Liatris / Gayfeather

Liatris produces feathery purple or pink flowers during the summer months and can be used in perennial gardens, plantings beds, butterfly gardens, or border plantings. It will grow up to 24in tall and wide. Plant in the full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Ligularia

Ligularia is an excellent plant for the shade. It works well in planting beds, borders, or cool moist areas. The foliage can be green or burgundy depending on the variety. Golden yellow flowers or stalky yellow flowers bloom in the summer depending on variety. They grow 2ft to 4ft wide and tall. Plant in part to full shade. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Lion King Japanese Iris

Japanese iris is nothing but extraordinary. Ideally planted in full sun and moist soils these majestic plants can grow as tall as 4ft. Lion King has gigantic 6-7in flowers that are fully double, highly ruffled and have a wide grape-purple edge that feathers into a pure white center. Japanese Iris is great planted in any perennial garden or as an accent plant planted by water features.



Lily of The Nile

This unique bulb type perennial creates a powerful display when planted in mass as well as a stand-alone in containers. Lily of The Nile has large clusters of striped blue star shaped flowers on a large spike held above strap like foliage. It grows 24-30in tall and 18-24in wide in full sun and moist soils.



Loosestrife Golden Alexander

Golden Alexander Loosestrife can be used in perennial gardens and landscape plantings. They produce showy yellow flowers during the summer months. Grows up to 2ft tall and wide. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 8.



Lungwort/ Pulmonaria

Lungworst works well when used in border plantings or planting beds. It does best in part shade or areas that are shaded during the hottest parts of the day. It has unique polka dotted foliage and spring blooms in blue, pink, or purple. Makes a nice cut flower. Grows up to 12in tall and wide. Hardiness zone 3 to 8.



Lupine

This bi-annual plant needs to be planted two years in a row and let go to seed for it to come back year after year. Interesting spikes of pea like flowers are a huge show of color in spring and early summer. Lupine grows 30-36in tall and 12-18in wide. This plant does best planted in full to part sun and is best used in the center or back of perennial gardens or naturalized in prairie type settings.



Luxuriant Bleeding Heart

Luxuriant Bleeding Heart is a wonderful part shade loving perennial. This plant grows 12-15in tall and wide with blue green foliage. Starting in the spring this plant puts on a show of small pink bleeding heart like flowers that last into fall. Luxuriant is one of the only plants that will bloom from spring to fall in the shade. Plant with Hostas, Astilbe, and other shade loving plants in borders, foundation plantings or landscaping beds where there is 3 hours or less of direct sun.



Midnight Rose Coralbells

This unique coralbell has dark maroon foliage that looks as if it was splattered with bright pink paint. Midnight Rose grows 1-2ft tall and only 8-12in wide in part sun to part shade. Small white flowers appear on 18-24in tall stems in June. Plant as a mass groundcover or in groups. Works well in rock gardens, borders, open woodland gardens and in containers.



Milkshake Coneflower

This Milkshake will bring all the gardeners to the yard! Double fragrant white blooms are held up on top of 30-36ft sturdy stems. Milkshake grows 24-30in wide in full sun and well drained soils. This lovely white double flower is best used in mixed borders, foundation plantings, urban gardens, mass plantings and cutting gardens.



Monarda (Bee Balm)

Monarda is a showy group of native and hybridized wildflowers. This great attractor of hummingbirds and butterflies is an old-fashioned favorite. Its deer resistance and ease to grow make it a must have in every cottage garden, perennial garden or landscape. Monarda can grow from 12-36in tall and wide in full sun to part shade.



Mums Hardy

Hardy mums can be used in planting beds or containers for a bright burst of fall color. Smaller varieties grow up to 12in tall while larger varieties can grow up to 30in tall. They bloom during the fall in colors of red, pink, burgundy, orange, yellow, and white. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Obedient Plant

Obedient plants produce flowers during the late summer in colors of purple, pink, or white. They work well in perennial gardens and planting beds. Obedient plants green stems are 4in to 6in long but the stalky flowers can grow up to 4ft tall in some varieties. Plant in part to full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Penstemon/ Beardstounge

Penstemon can tolerate heat and droughts and works well is planting beds or perennial gardens. The foliage can be green or tipped with burgundy. Blooms summer through fall in colors of white, pink, or red. It grows up to 36in tall and 18in wide. Plant in part sun to full sun. Hardiness zones 2 to 10.



Peonies

Peonies bloom during the early summer in many different colors red, pink, white, peach, and yellow. They can be used for cut flowers, in planting beds, perennial gardens, or a specimen. They grow about 48in tall and 36in wide. Plant in part shade to full sun. Hardiness zones 3 to 8.



Phlox Creeping

Creeping Phlox bloom in the spring months in shades of pink, purple, red, white, or combinations of these. They can be used as groundcover in rock gardens, in rock walls, and spaces between patio stones. They can also be used for border plantings. They can grow up to 8in tall and spread up to 24in wide. Plant in part shade to full sun. Hardiness zones 3 to 9.



Phlox Garden

Garden Phlox work well along borders and walkways or in planting beds and perennial gardens. They bloom during the summer months in shades of white, pink, red, or variations and grow 12in to 36in tall. Plant in full sun to part shade. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Provence Lavender

This evergreen perennial has gray green foliage and abundant, fragrant purple flower spikes. Butterflies visit this highly perfumed plant all summer. Provence grows 2-3ft tall and wide in full sun and moderate to dry well drained soils. Do not keep this plant too wet! This lavender can be used as a hedge or as a specimen in an herb garden. Crush the flowers and use in sachets or potpourri.



Red Hot Poker

This upright clump forming perennial is native to South Africa and has sword shaped bluish-green leaves. Red Hot Poker grows 3-4ft tall and 2-3ft wide at maturity. The flowers of this plant are spikes with red or dark yellow flowers a the tip fading to light yellow flowers at the base of the spike resembling a red hot fire poker. It blooms from late spring to early summer and needs a good layer of mulch around the roots to help protect it in the winter. Red Hot Pokers can be used as accent plants in the perennial garden or foundation plantings where they will receive full sun.

This under used perennial is great in the part shade garden. Keep in mind this plant needs a fair amount of space as it grows 4-5ft tall and 4-5ft wide at maturity. Rodgers flower has interesting hairy, large, 5 leaflet leaves and fragrant pink fuzzy flower spikes in July and August. This plant goes well with hosta and other part shade loving perennials in the garden. Deer and rabbit resistant.



Russian Sage

The tall airy purple flowers work great in perennial gardens and in combination with other plants. Foliage is grayish green with lavender flowers in the summer months. Grows 2ft to 4ft tall and wide depending on the variety. Plant in full sun. Hardiness zones 4 to 9.



Salvia

Salvia works great when used in mass plantings, planting beds, and perennial gardens. It also attracts butterflies. Sienna Sunset Coreopsis

This threadleaf coreopsis grows in a clump 16-20in tall and 20-24in wide. Sienna Sunset has petals that emerge a burnt sienna color then age to a lighter shade of orange generating a unique color in the garden. The dark green leaves are disease resistant and prefer to grow in full to part sun. This coreopsis does very well planted in border fronts, sidewalk edgings, wild gardens, cottage gardens and in patio containers. Plant in full sun to part sun in organic well drained soils.



Southern Comfort Coralbells

Southern Comfort has leaves that emerge a cinnamon-peach color and then age to a copper color then to amber. A mix of these colors will be seen on this plant as new foliage is grown during the season. This coralbell grows 10-22in tall and 18-24in wide. Small white flowers are found on wiry stems rising above the foliage in late summer. Plant as a mass groundcover or in groups. Works well in rock gardens, borders, open woodland gardens and in containers.

This unique perennial boasts variegated foliage and sky blue flowers. Stairway To Heaven grows 12-18in tall and 15-18in wide in part to full shade. Sweet Kate Spiderwart

This bright yellow grass like perennial will be a spotlight in your perennial and landscaping beds. Sweet Kate blooms with dark purple flowers held above almost blinding yellow foliage. Tiarella / Foam Flower

In addition to being great for fresh or dried flowers coneflowers attract goldfinches to their seed heads in the fall. Toad Lily

Toad Lily is another under used shade tolerant plant that can be mixed in with hosta, astilbe and other part shade to shade loving plants in the garden. They grow 2-3ft tall and wide with arching branches and opposite leafed, medium green, hairy foliage. Toad Lilies bloom in August to September when there is not much going on in the shade garden. The flowers are typically an orchid like shape in shades of pink or white. Deer and rabbit resistant.



Tomato Soup Coneflower

This unique coneflower blooms with flowers the color of Tomato Soup! It grows 24-36in tall and wide in full sun. This plant works well with grasses and mixed perennial gardens. When the seed heads mature they attract many types of birds including goldfinches.



Variegated Japanese Iris

Much like Lion King this Japanese iris has huge blooms, grows about 4ft tall and does well in full sun and moist soils. This variegated variety has the addition of having white variegations on the edges of all of the leaves. The flowers on this variety are a nice purple color.
